This was Holly's Haven, as a sign hung in the studio painted by a young student attested. It
was her joy,
The studio was home to Leo and Genesis, two of Holly's three cats. They are not exactly 'gelical cats, but they do try! And that's Charly, Holly's good-natured Weimaraner, pictured with the cats. Top right: Genesis is to the left, with Leo in the middle and Charly to the right.
Not long after the picture above was taken, the pale yellow studio walls were painted a rich chili pepper red (left). It was (still is) a warm, welcoming space; a perfect reflection of its beloved owner.
In addition to the many large windows in the studio there is a door which leads out into Holly's backyard, which is gently gated by a forest rich in history and inspiration. The lush backyard once featured a trampoline, upon which Holly and her girls spent many wonderful, whimsical hours bouncing, laughing, loving and seeing their amazing world from a heightened - and it's very likely more enlightened - view. |
